Universal Fabric Structures, the shelter solutions company, has recently completed construction of The Pudong Tennis Centre, its first project on mainland China.
The new centre features one four-court and two three-court tennis structures. All are fitted with state of the art lighting systems, tennis court backdrops and divider nets, plus retractable curtain opening in each gable end to permit an indoor/outdoor playing atmosphere.
The centre is situated within the Yuansheng Sports Complex - owned and operated by the local Shanghai government - and intended to be a showcase tennis facility in China.
In a further development, the company has announced a merger with Belgian group, Veldeman Tent Technology. The two companies have worked together in the past and the combined group will create the world’s largest supplier of fabric structure solutions in both steel and aluminium.
